Degree Overview

The Bachelor of Science in Renal Dialysis Technology is a four-year undergraduate program
designed to train students in the management and care of patients with kidney diseases,
particularly those requiring dialysis. This program combines theoretical knowledge with clinical
training, focusing on structure and function of the renal system, principles and techniques of
dialysis (hemodialysis & peritoneal dialysis), operation and maintenance of dialysis machines,
patient monitoring before, during, and after dialysis and infection control and patient safety.
Graduates are equipped to work alongside nephrologists and healthcare teams in providing lifesaving renal care.

Duration:

The program is completed over a period of four years, comprising eight semesters of
structured academic and practical training.

Graduates of BS Renal Dialysis Technology have a wide range of career
opportunities in both public and private healthcare sectors. They can work in hospitals, including
government and private institutions, as well as specialized dialysis centers and kidney transplant
units where advanced renal care is provided. In addition, they play an important role in intensive
