The Faculty of Computing and the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences at UBAS came together for an insightful event, “Bridging Bytes and Biotechnology,” exploring the powerful intersection of computing and biological sciences.

The session highlighted how emerging technologies, data science, artificial intelligence, and computational tools are transforming biotechnology and driving innovation in healthcare and scientific research.

A meaningful initiative towards fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, innovation, and new possibilities at the intersection of technology and life sciences.

Faculty of Rehabilitation Sciences organized a Cardiovascular Risk Assessment initiative for their faculty and staff, emphasizing the importance of preventive healthcare and early identification of potential cardiovascular risk factors.

The activity provided an opportunity for participants to gain valuable insights into their cardiovascular health and encouraged greater awareness about adopting a healthy lifestyle and prioritizing regular health assessments.

A meaningful step towards promoting health, wellness, and preventive care within the UBAS and LMDC community.

On the invitation of Prof. Dr. Naeem Mubarak, Pro-Vice Chancellor, UBAS & Principal Investigator, Digital Health Innovation Project, a collaborative meeting was held at Lahore University of Biological and Applied Sciences (UBAS) with Prof. Dr. Amir Ghafoor, Dean, Institute of Microbiology, UVAS, and Dr. Abdul Rehman, Assistant Professor & Public Health Expert, UVAS.

The meeting focused on the implementation of the Digital Health Innovation project under the PHEC R&D Cluster initiative on One Health/Public Health, with emphasis on Capacity Building, Joint Trainings, Digital Stewardship, AMR, Vaccine Hesitancy, Research Collaboration, Funding Utilization, and Project implementation from idea to impact.

The discussion provided a valuable platform for strengthening inter-university collaboration and translating digital health research into meaningful public-health solutions.

The Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Naeem Naqi convened the Deans’ Committee Meeting to review the progress of the Summer Semester and assess the University’s preparedness for Fall 2026.

The agenda was presented by Prof. Dr. Naeem Mubarak, Pro Vice Chancellor, following which the forum engaged in detailed discussions on academic progress, student affairs, faculty preparedness, admissions, operational readiness, and other key priorities for the upcoming semester.

The meeting provided an important platform for the Deans to share progress, identify challenges, and align their respective faculties with the University’s strategic priorities for the new academic year.

Together, we remain committed to academic excellence, effective governance, and a stronger student experience at UBAS.
